I studied forestry and environmental sciences in France, Spain and Germany and hold a PhD from the forest and environmental policy lab of the Freiburg University (Germany). After working on urban forests, values and ecosystem services at the Freiburg University I joined adelphi, a Berlin based environmental policy consultancy. There I was involved in German and international projects focusing on the analysis of EU nature policies and their implementation. I worked on agricultural landscapes and conservation, human-wildlife conflicts, nature communication, and protected areas governance and management. My work is interdisciplinary in nature, combining geography, environmental sociology, social-ecological system thinking, and ecology. I work with qualitative, quantitative, spatial and participatory research methods including interviews, participatory scenario planning, Delphi, and participatory GIS survey instruments.
