I am a social environmental scientist, PhD in Human Geography. I feel moved by questions around the ‘how(s)’ of living together in a damaged planet and of bridging diverse knowledge systems in transdisciplinary research. I am particularly concerned about increasing societal polarization and how to apply knowledge co-production within deeply divided contexts to advance sustainability transformations. I have explored innovative methods like Transformation Labs in such contexts and developed a process-relational undertanding of transdisciplinary processes. Thematically, I have extensively studied water problems related to agricultural production in semi-arid lands, such as water scarcity, overextraction or eutrophication, and more recently approached environmental conflicts, nature based solutions and the rights of nature.
